Feeling out of touch

While I've been pretty much up-to-date on television and movies, thanks to piracy and my occassional indulgent purchase of Entertainment Weekly, some aspects of American pop culture have slipped by me.

I feel like I have suddenly woken up from a long sleep, and now find myself awake on a different planet.


This whole Twilight thing has got me completely suprised, and right now in the US it seems to be everywhere. Even on overpriced candy bars. It wouldn't be so strange to me if I had been away for more than seven months. Seven years maybe, not seven months.
