The summer of working-not-from-home continues (as told in shoes)
It's still summer. The kids' art classes and sports activities don't start up for a couple of more weeks, so why don't we have one last summer hurrah---of work?
As a follow-on to this earlier post, these are my shoes covered with booties all visitors must wear walking through certain departments of my employer's manufacturing plants in the Qiandaohu area. If I worked here full-time, I would, like all my coworkers here, be issued factory shoes to change in and out of when I crossed these barriers.
For about a week and a half, the whole family is here, in Qiandaohu. We're going to try to get some tourism squeezed in here and there. And the hotel where we're staying has a swimming pool, so the kids are pretty happy about that. They are spending their days in the offices with us, working on whatever homework I could find amidst our recent big move (oh yeah, we moved house right after we returned from the US).
