Normally when I write these posts about a particular Catholic holiday or observance in China, I introduce it with newly learned Chinese vocabulary associated with the occasion. I have been considering that same approach again today, but I am at a loss. Now in my ninth Holy Week in China, I have pretty much covered most of the words associated with the end of Lent. I even know by heart the morning's Psalm response, 我的天主, 我的天主. 你为何舍弃我?
Brigid was ready to follow along with the same Easter board book she used for the last few Holy Weeks, and before her Myles.

Of course, we began outside for the Blessing of the Branches and the procession.
贺三纳! Hè sān nà!
Myles wondered if the priest ever had to rap on the door so hard with the processional crucifix that he left a mark.
