A happy place

I don't have any one "happy place." There are a number of locations that I immediately feel my mood elevate as soon as I arrive. Like the Outer Banks, or San Sebastian, or the Kempinski Hotel in Beijing. This summer, as with every summer, PNC park has been one of my happy places.

Pre-gaming.

More after the jump

Sure, it must be easy to be happy at PNC Park. The view is great. Some may say one of the best in the United States.

Right now, too, the Pirates have the best record at home in the National League, so those fans in the seats at PNC Park are more likely to see a win than fans in any where else in the NL. So we get to have more moments like this.

Even with the twenty consecutive losing seasons (which are not a mere dim memory), the years of "The Opposite of Christmas," the internationally-known futility of it all, I STILL was happy to take my seat in PNC Park.

Ahh. Baseball. Pirates baseball. Happy happy happy.
