Spargelzeit

I have to confess among the many things I was looking forward to on our trip was the amount on time we would be spending in German-speaking parts of Europe where asparagus would be in season. The German word for this time of year is Spargelzeit. I thought I might be a little too excited, until I saw this specials board in Bad Münstereifel. We knew my expectations were not too high.
