Sometimes lightning does strike twice
Almost two years ago our family was able to take advantage of what we called a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel together to Europe while Randy was on business. We had a brilliant time, but never thought we would get to go again. Or if we did, not within two years.
Tomorrow morning we board the first of two flights that will take us to Barcelona in time for Spain's supper time. Crazy, isn't it? We wake up Monday morning in China and by bedtime we are in Barcelona.
From there we will revisit some of the same places we did before (like San Sebastian and Zurich) and add a few that we haven't (like the Black Forest and Salzburg). Our travel will be a little saner than last time, too. Since he doesn't have to work around too many holidays Randy was able to schedule the meetings in a more orderly fashion.
The kids are, of course, over the moon about this trip. Brigid is excited for Barcelona (Messi!) and Köln (Viva Colonia!). Myles can't stop dreaming of Frühstück and Belgium (Tintin!). Both kids hope we run into a voXXclub flash mob in München.
I likely won't be blogging much, but I will probably be on twitter.
