We attended the English-language Mass there Sunday at 4:00 pm. Brigid's soccer has been moved to Sunday mornings, a challenge for us but one we can overcome if we are willing to attend an English Mass at a parish not our own.
Just before dismissal, an Irish priest announced the Holy Week schedule for Dongtang. While Easter Mass would be available twice in English on Sunday, the other services of Triduum would not be. The parish would offer them only in Chinese. However, he encouraged even the English speakers to try the Holy Thursday and especially the Good Friday events in the Chinese churches as he had found them incredibly powerful experiences of the Last Supper and the Crucifixion. I've been saying that for years, so I was pleased to hear that I am not the only foreigner who feels that way.
