Still Christmas, you know....

...so it isn't too late for me to link to my most recent in the December issue of beijing kids magazine about Christmas gifts. The best part is the illustration, which I have nothing to do with producing. Here's what the magazine's art staff used as inspiration:
In the past few years, it seems, there has been a marked increase in how Steelers-filled our holidays have become. In addition to the typical t-shirts and jerseys of popular players, Myles and Brigid have a few Steelers hats, a Steelers blanket, and one rubber Steelers monster mask. I myself have received Steelers scarves, Steelers earrings, a Steelers purse, a couple of Steelers Christmas tree ornaments, and even a Steelers toaster. Not only is the toaster housing emblazoned with a Steelers emblem, but the toast is as well. It seems excessive, possibly even obsessive, but there are times that the Steelers mania are a balm for my homesick soul.
Yup.

And speaking of perfect presents for me, I actually did receive several non-Steelers presents that surprised me in how perfect they still were. In case you didn't see it on twitter over the weekend, from my sister Megs:

That would be a t-shirt from one of my favorite (non-family) things about my hometown, Flickerwood Wine Cellars, AND a much sought-after drink koozie from none other than Catholic Drinkie blog (where faith meets brew).

I won't need that koozie to enjoy one of my favorite Christmas beers because it isn't served in a bottle, but I must say this glass rocks, in a very Catholic way.
