Coming to America

Greetings from Western Pennsylvania.

At long last we have wide-open internet access. For most of the month of November, even the simple act of checking email was nearly impossible to accomplish in China, let alone blog, access Facebook, or Twitter. I was able to keep in touch on my phone, but not that well.

It allowed us to focus our attention, I guess, on 十八大.

And we all believed that once this moment happened, after the conclusion of the 18th National Congress, and the Politburo Standing Committee was introduced, we could all go back to normal. Or, at the very least, as normal as things had been before.



But no.

So we filled our time with our extended baseball season for Myles



And Brigid's second soccer season



And some Great Wall exploring.



Now back in the US for the next two months, we're trying to pick up where we left off. Here on the blog, and in our real lives.
