You can't take that away from me

The next best thing to meeting a Steeler in person is getting this close to the Steelers' six Vince Lombardi trophies. All six were on display at the Carnegie Science Center around the Christmas holidays. We stood in an orderly line, waiting for our turn to photograph the kids with them. Sixburgh, we kept reminding each other.

Tonight's loss to Denver, sealed on the opening drive of overtime, stunned Steelers fans (and Tebow-haters) around the world. I assign no blame and hold no grudges because I wasn't on the field. I just sat on the couch in my Troy Polamalu jersey. I was, of course, emotionally involved in the game, but I am not about to curse the players and their descendants of the current roster. I just enjoy being a fan. I love meeting other Steelers fans in China. I have a lot of fun with the trappings and the accessories.

What other team's jerseys would match so well with sequins (and especially that of #86)?

Speaking of jerseys, I think it is high time that Myles' #7 jerseys return to prominent rotation in his wardrobe. After reading this piece that was co-written by David Kuo, I think we can go back to liking Ben Roethlisberger again.

Go Steelers! Next season!

Addendum: While I was driving to Front Royal this afternoon, I had some time to reconsider the Zen-like nature of this post. I will admit that had the play-off loss been to the Ravens, Ray Lewis and the Ravens that is, I would have been far less love and puppies. I would still have celebrated being a Steelers fan, but I would be what we in Western Pennsylvania refer to as "all stabby."
