Speaking of colors
Red sky at night, sailors delight!
Red sky at morning, sailors take warning!
But then I ask myself, what does a purple sky at dusk indicate?
I wish I could say this photo was somehow altered, photoshopped or digitally enhanced. I just opened up the kitchen window last night and took this with my phone. I'm happy it did come out so unbelievably well as none of us could believe what we were seeing. Purple Haze.
It's possible a purple sky signals the coming yellow haze at dawn, followed by a sandstorm. At least that is what happened today. With about fifteen minutes left in Myles' soccer scrimmage this morning, the winds suddenly picked up. It wasn't long before we could taste the grit.
It wasn't quite as bad as the zombie apocalypse last spring, so we kept with our normal Saturday-after-soccer routine. From inside Starbucks we watched the winds cause the trees to thrash violently. Myles joked with awe, "Those are no longer weeping willows. They are whipping willows!"
