梅西!!!

Earlier this week when we were shopping in Sanlitun, I had promised Myles that he could, at long last, get a Team Argentina soccer jersey if there were kids' sizes available. Of course, this being China, there were Argentina soccer jerseys in every imaginable size.  Brigid also wanted one as well, and I couldn't help but think, "At last! My kids, too, can have matching outfits."

All afternoon today, people yelled after my kids, "梅西!! 梅西!!" Everyone easily recognized Lionel Messi's name and number on the blue-and-white stripes.



For Myles, his interest in Argentina may originally have less to do with Messi as it does with the Argentinosaurus. For Brigid, though, her interest has more to do with Myles than anything else.
