Explains a lot (Magnets Magnets Magnets)

Randy emailed me this link this morning. A month ago I blogged about another blogger suggesting that Hitachi was not granting new licenses to produce NdFeB magnets in the US. This represents exactly the kind of news one could expect to read, that Hitachi is now in talks with Molycorp as a joint venture partner to produce magnets. While this announcement says that Hitachi will be producing magnets in the US again, they do not indicate location.  Too bad this will not mean a return to Edmore, Michigan.
