Attention grabbing headlines
Since it got the attention of a Nobel Prize Winner, the current hysteria situation of global rare earth supply is escalating. Again, if it there's something productive to be gained from all this, other than just noise, that would be great.
I came across a few headlines in some searches that caught my attention for a different reason. The funny thing is that these headlines seem to be ones from these past few months, but actually are older.
High-Tech companies face shortages as China hoards Rare Earth Materials November 5, 2009
China Tightens Grip on Rare Minerals August 31, 2009
China, Japan on collision course over rare-earths May 28, 2009
There are also a few in the archives of the Indianpolis Star, behind a paywall, that date back into 2008, but dealing mostly with the magnet side of the rare earth industry.
