Ming tombs: The Spirit Way
The Ming tombs
are really spread out, and tour groups can often hit all the open-to-the-public locations in one day. We, however, know the limits of our own entourage, so we will be taking weeks to see it all.
Sunday afternoon we had cooperative weather again so we decided to visit the Spirit Way, the path through which the funeral processions for the Ming Emperors would have gone on the way to their prepared tombs. This was a hit with Myles, who was given my phone to take pictures, and Brigid who, who took it all in from her perch in our new backpack carrier.
