We've been really busy with our move, and we still have no internet at home. Hopefully soon we'll be back in business.

Sorry to have to recommend you purge that first reply in the thread but its vile SPAM (when I roll over the last link it prompts an x-rated site in the comment field on my browser!) I'll be praying for the poor folks who make a living that way...
NOW on a more jovial note, I just wanted to pass along a Hong-Kong blogger http://wlteef.blogspot.com/2007/04/chinese-steamed-mantou.html
my dear hubbie found that features recipes for Asian deserts like the steamed buns called mantou that we like, and I thought you may appreciate also and may even be inspired to try some of the recipes.
While I never dared to learn to bake the German Xmas cookies when we lived in that country for over a decade, I yearned to try. Now that we're Stateside its quite a nostalgic part of the Advent season to bake the recipes from the women's magazine clippings I collected in my scrapbooks over the 'yearning' years! And I might just add this cookie recipe this year http://wlteef.blogspot.com/2007/04/horlicks-doggie-cookies.html in honor of all the Brit/Commonwealth expats who buy that malted milk drink (and the UK Maltesers candy) from the Indian stores here, that also sell the vacuum packed curries that we love so well !
Enjoy a blessed Advent with your wee ones, may a sprinkling of local "flavor" season your your family's festivities and make memories special for many years to come! God bless
Oh, Clare, I don't think I can find them all. DON'T CLICK ANYTHING IN THE COMMENTS EVER! Well, unless it is from someone you trust. We love Mantou. We get one type often called Silver and Gold, half are steamed and half are flash-fried. then they are served with sweet condesned milk. MMMMmmmmmmm
