Fancy new floors

Danielle's not the only one who was given new floors this week, but I will be hers aren't as squishy as mine.

Our current apartment has these icy tile floors, probably original to the construction of our building. Brigid has never indicated discomfort with them, but every time we pick her up her legs feel cold. Many stores sell these play-room tiles. This week at Wal-Mart Randy bought several packs of these large ones with a fake wood-grain appearance. The other choice was Disney Princess Magic Kingdom. Too bad there weren't enough of those to cover our living room floor. In addition to keeping her from freezing on the floor, there's a little cushion to break her fall. Not that we ever let her fall or anything like that.

Some husbands spend days breaking their backs to put in or refinish hardwood floors (and a certain Papa might even shed a little blood, and you know who you are). My man just heads over to WoErMa (WarMa) and in twenty minutes has my new floor installed.
