Uhhhhh

A few times in the past few months and as recently as yesterday in the streets of Shekou, I've been asked one of the strangest questions by a Chinese person that doesn't involve money or Kwanzaa.

"Is your husband Chinese?"

Seriously. I don't know if they are complementing my Chinese, which really isn't so great, or telling me that my kids are so cute that they must be part Chinese.

That's okay Jen. Now that you have seen pix of Shelby and Joey you will understand I get asked all the time if we planned for Shelby to look like me and Joseph like his daddy. Oh and it just started snowing REALLY hard for the second time in less than a month at our house in SE NC. No snow for five years and now this...and it's sticking!

Well, Flora, I always tell them I have a really tough teacher. Good, but tough. :-)
Just my tones are a little sloppy now. Kind of southern-sounding.
