Bits of weirdness
1) Yesterday, once again, I was asked if Myles' and Brigid's father was really Chinese. I'm just taking it as a compliment.
2) Yesterday, a Chinese woman actually asked me if Brigid wasn't too hot in what she was wearing. I could not stop laughing. I told her that everyday so many people tell me I need to put more clothes on the baby, that that was the first time a Chinese person had said that maybe she was too warm. The woman laughed, too.

You do really well Jenn....I'm always in admiration of how well you have handled the cultural differences and how well Myles has done. You all have taught me a thing or two!

At least where I live, I don't think it is cultural (remember I am a Yankee in the south which can result in culture shock!) but I do think there are a lot of people who just feel they would be a better parent to your kid. And in our case it seems to be generational. At approaching 30 there is no way I could be a good mom lol! I just try to smile and say thank you for the suggestion and move on. It's easier to assume they are thinking of my children and not that I am a deadbeat mom!
