Some fireworks were already set off by nightfall, but at midnight it got pretty intense.

This year the property management must have sent something out because this year no one launched anything from their balconies like last year. However, at the outside perimeter of our garden, just beyond our gates, it was a show that did not disappoint. At the stroke of midnight they started, and as I type this at 1 am, there are still fireworks and firecrackers being set off just outside our garden.

But even more amazing than the fireworks show outside was what was going on inside our house.

Everyone (except me) was asleep before midnight and slept right through midnight. Can you hear the fireworks echoing through the house in that clip? Of course, just when I thought I might be able to sleep, too, Brigid woke up, hungry.
