My parents are back in the US

Please excuse the long, sad, exhale of big-family oriented people who are reminded once again that they aren't cut out for this expat exile life after all.
I missed them the minute we left them at the airport.

We miss you guys so much too. We may have not got to visit you in China but it makes all the more harder for all of us here in the winter wonderland we call Pa. Christmas was not that much fun and mass just wasn't the same when Randy was not there to go with us. It was very sad. But we can't wait to see you all in May-June. You might be around for Collin and Aletta's birthday. And just think that would be a first time for both of them. How exciting!! Myles could be able to come to Collin's party. That would be a great present for him. So think positive you guys will be home soon. Yeah

Whew - I know how you feel (somewhat). I started to get nervous two days before I flew back to Mississippi. It's something good to offer up. The Lord must be putting it all to good use, somehow.

I sooooo feel for you! I missed Michelle the minute I got the text from her that she'd gone thru the security check point and was waiting to board...I mean, yeah, she was still IN Pittsburgh but...on her way west...and it meant that our family week together was over-- after all that anticipation!-- after a week of non stop activity and noise and games and bolwing and then suddenly...silence...bleah...work....
I am happy that you DID get some family time and glad to know your mom and dad touched ground here in the US safely.
