I let Myles bring a sketchbook to Mass on the condition that he draws something related to the Mass or a Bible story. Even though it is Advent, he started out drawing Jesus on ths cross, then the cross without Jesus to the "mountain where he was crucified."


Then there was this one of crosses falling to the earth.


At one point during the homily I looked over and saw that he had drawn a volcano.

I reminded him the condition of being allowed his sketchbook at Mass. Without missing a beat he said, "An angel lives in the volcano."
