Microwave
The other day we were shopping for a new microwave. Our current apartment is without one, and while I've been doing okay-ish without one, Randy announced that he missed eating popcorn.
What was really interesting to me were the pre-set buttons. On many American microwaves, we have single-touch buttons for defrosting meat, or popping popcorn. The Chinese ones have a different variety.
One that we did not buy only had one pre-set for Milk.
Another that we also did not purchase had its pre-sets organized by geography. Shandongcai, Sichuancai.....
The unit we did buy didn't have terribly unusual pre-sets, but I love the illustrations provided. Like frozen food is, of course, jiaozi.
