How do you measure, measure a life

One of the all-consuming tasks we had while we were in the US was moving out of our house in Pittsburgh. When people asked me why we were doing this now, I told them that I had run out of sisters to live there.
We distributed most of our furniture among various family members, and even after two truckloads donated to the Vets, and two truckloads hauled off by Dave, we still had so much to fit into our 10 X 10 space at a storage facility. Seeing our material lives stacked up in a 10 X 10 space was really quite something. I don't know if it made me proud that we were able to reduce to that, or sad because that is all we have amounted to. Nothing mitigated, though, how it made me realize that we really aren't planning to live in the US again for a very long time.
