What are these?


I have been away from the States just long enough now that I have to ask what is popular there, too. I don't even know what they are called in any language. They are two-wheeled jointed skateboards and every kid between the ages of 7 and 14 in our garden have them. I probably see hundreds of kids on these on any given (non-rainy) day.
Does every kid in America have one, too?

It's a Ripstik...and yes, down here in GA the kids all have them!

Just started seeing them in Myrtle Beach.... which means they have been out for about 2 or 3 years!!

they seem a little more fun than plain old skateboards. i've seen lots of kids with them these days. nothing will compare, however, to the kiddie vespa. i saw some girl driving hers around frick park one afternoon.
