Invitations

According to the SCMP this morning (sorry, paywall link), Beijing has extended an official invitation to Bishop Tong to attend the Olympics. Why not Cardinal Zen? Is it because he is in Rome asking the Pope to start his retirement?

More on the post below later. I know that's what the family and friends are most interested in. But obviously, I had to go to a Chinese hospital to get that slip of paper.
