Now you see it, now you don't

Blogspot blogs are blocked again as of sometime today.
However, we've enjoyed for most of this week uninterrupted CNN and BBC World News. No matter what the story, our TV has been uncharacteristically un-blank. A few weeks ago our joke among other foreigners was that we were going to enjoy an evening staring at the void that used to be CNN as it was black-out so much. Even the Hong Kong channels approved for general Chinese consumption were not showing any American-produced news.
Interestingly, a CNN reporter based in Beijing reported the other evening that her CNN in her hotel had been blacked-out three times the previous day. Not that I doubt her story, especially given our experiences here, but our CNN access (this week in Shenzhen) has been oddly unfettered.
