fang hua set off fireworks
From our 12th floor bedroom window we have had the amazing opportunity to witness some fantastic impromptu fireworks displays. Since last Wednesday night, beginning around 7 pm, fireworks and firecrackers have continued, sometimes intensely and sometimes sporadically, until about 1 or 2 am. We have all developed the ability to sleep through most of it when necessary. Behind our garden is a vast expanse of land reclaimed from the sea during the construction of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Western corridor bridge.
The view extends across this reclaimed area to the heart of Nanshan district to the East.
Here is our bedroom window.
Every night at eye-level we have this to some degree.
Here is a video from that window sometime after midnight on the first day of the new year. I had missed getting video of all the firecrackers that were being thrown from the windows and other balconies.
