Thank you, Myron Cope
This evening around midnight, I was emailed and texted by my sisters to report that Myron Cope passed away this morning. This is such sad news for Steelers fans everywhere. He was really such a special person and a special announcer.
One of his legacies is the Terrible Towel. This is the Coat of Arms for the Steelers Nation (or as I refer to it, the Holy Steelers Empire). Steelers fans go no where without one.
Myles' has celebrated a run to the Super Bowl and an XL victory.
And it has claimed Victoria Peak in Hong Kong.
It has been a few years since we heard Myron on the radio, but no one will forget him.
