China dao le
We made it. It was a very long trip, longer than normal. Not only did we have to fly through LA this time (our normal route through Chicago was outrageously priced), our Cathay Pacific flight took an unexpected detour to Seoul. I think it was for refueling. Last week Randy's flight, the exact same flight number, had to top off in Taipei, though they announced that schedule change right before take-off. The Cathay flight that was leaving right after ours was already announced as having to stop in Taipei. Seoul was a bit of a surprise, and most people on the plane thought we were in Hong Kong. I had to explain to the woman next to me, "Jia you."
So, three hours later than scheduled we finally arrived in Hong Kong and boarded the ferry for Shekou. And now we deal with jet lag. Ugh.
