Angelic

Something we do at the Nantou church is have small children participate in the procession and bringing up the gifts. They get to wear these sweet robes. When they bring up the gifts, they each get a votive candle to present to Father for the altar. Normally, four year olds plus lit candles equals a really bad idea. Usually I am quite grateful the weeks Myles declines the invitation to participate. This week, though, he asked to be one of the "helpers."

Our friends from Belgium have introduced us to a really cool Dutch word, "bengel." It means an little angel (engel) that are also tough and tumbly. Myles is a perfect example of a bengel.
