Museum of Urban Planning
This museum, across Renmin Da Dao from the Shanghai Museum, has such an uninspiring name, and yet, it was a very fun time for Myles and me while Randy was at an afternoon meeting.
One floor was about Old Shanghai, one floor was a special exhibit of joint Chinese-Danish ideas for a theoretical Green and Harmonious Shanghai, which included a reconstructed downtown for this very flat city with skyscrapers built into hill-shaped clusters.

There was a lot more, like a 360 degree movie tour of Shanghai. One really awe-inspiring part was the model of the entire city of Shanghai. Funny how much more frightening the overwhelmingly large Shanghai appears when rendered so small.

There was a mezzanine around the model that we walked around, with Myles saying, "Hey mom. I'm walking around Shanghai."
