Friday Night Lights

I can't stop watching it.
Normal posting to resume soon. I have some more Shanghai stuff, and I am trying to get some video up, too.
RheaDogg, is this about your high school?

I've never felt a need to see that show, although the movie was excellent. My friend who grew up in a Southern town and played football said it captured the ethos of the real thing quite well.

I didn't feel a need to watch the show, either, but more because I fail to see the entertainment value in high-school-themed anything. High school wasn't that entertaining for me the first time around. Also, I was sure that the high school relationships would be more adult-ized. That can be maddening.
However, I am really enjoying several of the story lines, and definitely the acting. Connie Britton is my girl! Even Randy is watching it with me, and he isn't enthused about football, or high school football culture, or american high school culture in general.

yeah, i was surprised that you had sent me that txt about how much you like that show, ambrose. i, too, thought it would be a really bad high school drama-type thing.

I lived it in Amarillo, TX - no need to watch it. :) RheaDogg

One of my very favorite shows ... so real that it hurt sometimes, which is part of the charm.
