Curious

I try to run a Yahoo! search, without a proxy server. I can even see Yahoo! when i type in y-a-h-o-o-dot-c-o-m. But then I put in my search terms (like something important, like "archbishop dinardo steelers"), press enter and wham! I am redirected to the Chinese-language-only Baidu for my results.

I have something like this happen when I tried to go to Adam's blog recently. It comes up....but blank. Internet control?

I don't know what is up with the control on shanghaiscrap.com. I also get a blank screen, but only when I try to access through AOL (what I use to get around the Great Firewall). However, if I just use my local Chinese server, like just use Firefox, I have no problem reading it.
