I should be offended

Really I should. I shouldn't even perpetuate such speech and attitudes in my home because it is so derogatory. However, I just can't stop referring to football teams I don't like, particularly those in the AFC, especially those that have ever had a connection with Cleveland, as diminutive, girly names. For instance, my cousin might say he loves the Patriots, but we all know they are the Patsies. Last week the Steelers really gave it to the Brownies. The team we used to know as the Browns are, of course, the Birdies.
It's awful and sexist. I should be so offended.
But I'm not. And I am so ready to listen to all the gory details of what the Steelers are going to do to the Jills.
