We've spent a few afternoons swimming this week. One was spent at the pool in the apartment complex where our friend Katie used to live until she moved back to the states. It is a 2 kuai bus ride from Shekou, but the pool is worth it. It only cost 15 RMB for the two of us. To contrast, the pool at the gated community near our house costs something like 35 RMB per person for non-residents.
I just love this pool. It is built to look beach-like. From this angle, it almost looks as though we are on a tropical beach getaway, until you realize the blue under the water is tile.
