Things that never get old

Several times a week, an extremely earnest school-aged child will come up to us and ask us in perfect English, "Hello. How are you?"
I will proceed into the conversation that I know they have rehearsed in school for just such an occassion. This would include all the well-annunciated fine thank you's and other things of good manners and early foreign language learning. It really is so much fun because the conversation usually ends with the grinning child saying, "Good Bye!" and skipping off to their parents to relate what just happened.
Who knew small talk could so completely make our day?
