This week's new words
bang qiu baseball
bang qiu shou tao baseball glove
Thanks to a local Jusco, we were able to buy two baseball gloves and a baseball for less than 500 RMB. They even had some more serious adult gloves for more than 1000 RMB a piece. Of course a Japanese store would have baseball gear; I wonder what type will have American football?
So our mornings are sometimes spent tossing the baseball back and forth. We really miss baseball. Crispian is on two teams this spring, and we just loved going to his games. Pirate games, especially midweek afternoon games, we such a great way to spend a summer day.
We miss baseball, but we really miss those with whom we enjoy baseball.

Um, how is that pronounced? Bang (as in "bang on a desk"? But how is qiu pronounced? "Keyoo"?
get this one...i went to crispian's game monday night (his sq. hill league) and the other team's coaches put FIVE kids in the outfield.
Qiu is pronounced close to "cho" like if you were saying choke, with a little bit of an "ee" sound before the "o."
