Golden Year of the Pig

When I was in China before Christmas. The girlfriend of one of Randy's friends told me that this year, Pig, was supposed to be a particularly lucky for babies born this year. According to this article in today's English-language Shenzhen Daily, it is not only the Year of the Pig, but also a "gold" year, so it can also be called the Golden Year of the Pig. Chinese hospitals are bracing for a baby boom as many Chinese couples have planned to have a baby this year. In fact, that same girlfriend that told me this was to be an exceptionally lukcy year is having a baby this May.
