"I LOVE ARMY GUYS!"
This is something Myles says anytime he sees someone in Army fatigues, like if we are walking by an Army recruiting station, or if we are watching the news. He does use it generically for any branch of the military. He owns a pair of camo pants, his "Army pants," that need to be washed as soon as he takes them off so he can wear them again. They are his favorite.
I wonder, though, if the real thanks needs to be directed to the Chinese propaganda machine. After one of the cartoons I let him watch so I can go to the bathroom and/or take a shower when we are in China comes a kids-news show that is all about the Chinese military. It is in Chinese, but the images are clear--look at all the cool stuff you get to play with when you grow up and join the Chinese army. He didn't watch it that often, maybe half a dozen times, but the message he carried away with him was that the Army is cool.
