Infidelity briefly entertained

I'm watching this miserable Green Bay-Philly game, and I am reminded that Dhani Jones plays for the Eagles. Ah, Dhani Jones.
I would leave the Steelers for Dhani Jones, if he asked me.
What? Is that possible? Could I? Would I? cheat on the team that has always been there for me, and I for them, with this free-agent playboy? The Steelers have done nothing to deserve this from me. Maybe they aren't as exotic and smooth as Dhani is right now, but how long will that infatuation last? Until his next contract?
And then I come to my senses, remembering that the Steelers and I are in this together for a very long time. There is no need to look beyond that. It is already special enough.

I thought that I was a Steelers fan for the long haul. I cheered for "One for the Thumb in '81," '82, '83...until about 2000. But now, I am a full-fledged Eagles fan. E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!

i heart dhani jones. i stopped dead in my tracks when i saw an espn interview w/ him this morning.

of course i had to figure out how to play it off, in a house full of non-PA steeler fans.

Well, if he played offense you could always pass it off as "He's on my Fantasy Football team." That's what I used to say about Tiki Barber. And if it were Ronde I'd pretend I got them mixed up.
Oh dear. I'm such a football hussy.
