What a week!

I think I need to preface this with letting you know that I am fine, the baby is fine--no real damage done.
Okay, maybe that sentence alone is not reassuring.
Sunday night, after we were congratulating ourselves on how well Crispian's party went and before we started to pack up the cars, I fell. Hard. On the concrete under the pavilion where we held the party. I tried to brace my fall so I wouldn't hit my stomach, which I didn't do, but instead of my hands breaking the fall, I took it all in the face.
Ouch!
So off to the emergency room I went, with a possible broken nose and who-knows-what damage done to my mouth. X-rays showed no fracture in the nose. I needed no stitches either. From my upper lip to the middle of my nose I am one big nasty-looking abrasion. No teeth were broken, though one was chipped pretty badly. I was in and out of the ER in under 2 hours, but then they sent me up to Labor & Delivery to be monitored for another hour or so. No contractions.
This morning it was off to the dentist for him to assess the root damage if any. All signs still look good that the damage there is limited to the chip, which I am getting bonded right before we leave for China.
I'll be glad when this week is over. I'll be really happy once the wheels lift of from Chicago. I would say landing in Hong Kong, but I know I'll be icky grumpy tired.

Very glad you guys are ok... goodness.

Does your face look like it did that one time after the Indigo Girls concert? :)

Much much worse than after the Indigo Girls concert.
And if you are still reading this far, please don't think that I joined the mosh pit at an Indigo Girls Concert (I did that when I saw bands like Ministry in my youth, but never was injured), I banged into something sharp on a restroom stall door and sliced a big cut down my nose.
Ugh am I a klutz.

I'm very glad you and baby are okay.

I'm still trying to imagine what a mosh pit would look like at an Indigo Girls concert....
