I refused to buy jumpers when I was pregnant with Myles. A jumper, Denis, is an formless, shapeless, generously cut dress worn over a shirt or blouse. It is an article of clothing especially favored by the frequently pregnant. It is also a stereotype of the homeschooling mama, though I don't know any homeschoolers that wear them all the time. There is no known incidence of any major designer including one in any ready-to-wear collection. Yes, it should be acceptable to wear one even when I am pregnant.....but it is a slippery slope from there
In New York, jumpers (admittedly, of a certain cut) are in this season, among other things... so you're not totally out of step!

but jen, it would've been so much better if you wore white socks (slouched, of course) and penny loafers. or those simple keds in any color. hehehe. kate was just remarking how there wasn't a good variety of cute pregnant clothes 8 years ago...and here you are, not taking advantage of it.
