For you bookish types

Via The Parish, gnooks. Try the Gnod's Suggestions. It is supposed to introduce you to new authors based on your taste. I put in Henry Miller, Milan Kundera, and Thomas Hardy for my favorites. It suggested back to me Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Vladimir Nabokov, and James Joyce. No surprises, really, but maybe for someone else it will spit out something less already-on-your-shelf.

The main site seems worth poking around a bit more. My Gnod results were funny! Jane Austen, Emily Bronte, and Henry James yielded William Shakespeare, Charlotte Bronte, and....Sokrates! Yes, it was even spelled like that. The book suggested off to the right side was a German-language edition of some of Plato's Dialogues. Why German? I have no idea.

But I think someone should tell the Gnod folks that Socrates never wrote any books. Next thing you know, it'll be suggesting I dip into the collected works of Jesus Christ. :)
