Psalm One
Last week Entertainment Weekly reviewed the new CD by Chicago-based hip-hop artist Psalm One. It gave it a B rating and said some pretty enthusiastic things about her MC style. I listened to a few samples online and I have to agree. I saw Psalm One in Pittsburgh last year. I included the link because LC found the story pretty entertaining, and since I'm not doing much right now except being sick, here's something. The song singled out by Entertainment Weekly, "The Nine," is noted for some of the same things I really liked about Psalm One when I saw her last year.
It is probably VERY important to note here, though, that she is NOT a Christian artist. She could be a Christian; I have no idea. I wish I would have asked her why she chose that moniker for her music career when I saw her last year. It is very misleading. Her rhymes are clearly not Biblically inspired.
