How times change

Back when I was in high school, in the 1980s, the metal heads would cruise the main street of my hometown (all 2 blocks of it), blaring their Metallica or Iron Maiden with the windows rolled down on their usually black Trans Ams.
This afternoon in my hometown I was surprised to hear familiar Iron Maiden blasting from a passing car. The driver was young, nearly half my age, probably. But instead of a black Trans Am, he was driving a turquoise Grand Am.
So hard for these young people to be "cool" these days.............

From your uncle who lives at the other end of PA: This is very interesting to me as well. As a leader in a Boy Scout troop, I am amazed at the music the boys are listening to. Zepplin, Doors, Pink Floyd...stuff YOUR parents were listening to.

I asked one day about it, they said "its because the music today sucks".
