Jason Bay is the first Pirate to start an All-Star game since 2000 (that would have been Jason Kendall). Yea!!!


We watched a little bit of his press conference tonight on our local Fox sports channel, and Kate's boyfriend and I had fun finishing his sentences for him. For instance:

Bay: I am really surprised [about being the top vote getter], especially since......
Jen: the rest of the team stinks right now.

Bay: I really want to thank all the fans who voted for me.....
John: because you have just about assured me that the Yankees will be offering me a big fat contract someday.
