What will this look like?

Via Modern Arts Notes, the BBC is reporting that the Vatican is looking to add Modern and Contemporary art to its collection.
It does make me wonder what exactly a millenia-old institution like the Church considers to be Modern and even Contemporary works fit for the Vatican collection. Though I'm fairly certain that Ernst would be out (ha-ha Tyler), what would this part of their collection look like?
