Watching the news all day

So I guess there was this thing going on in Pittsburgh today that got its share of media attention. Throughout the day (and yesterday, too) I was frequently checking the two newspaper sites and the three tv sites for news, and anytime I came across something pertinent to the Open Book thread, I volunteered it over there.
Of course, I wasn't specifically looking for that news. I was looking for news of the MLB trades. Around here it is the Opposite of Christmas.
