Not quite an A/C outing

But yesterday we witnessed an outstanding, exciting Pirates game. And a win at that. Yes, it was over the Rockies, but we take what we can get. Perhaps someday it will be possible that a trivia question will be what player won the N.L. batting title for the team with the worst record in all of baseball that same year? (answer will be Freddie Sanchez) Actually the series with the Rockies had some great moments. Crispian and I listened to a positively riveting game Monday night, another win. Unfortunately, when Tom Hanks, Ron Howard, and Dennis Miller rolled into town, they got to see the worst Pirate loss this year. At least I hope they enjoyed the Pierogies and the Manny Sanguillen BBQ.
The ballpark is set up beautifully to help with the hot days. Open to the river side, when the breeze comes in it is wonderful. This can also make for very frigid opening days, but that's another story.
